નારગોલ – Lagori – NarGol

નારગોલ રમવાની રીત અને ખેલાડીઓની વિગત.

એક સમયે ભારતમાં બાળકોમાં ખૂબ જ લોકપ્રિય રમત. તેમાં એક બોલ અને સપાટ પત્થરોનો ઢગલો (જે એકબીજાની ટોચ પર થપ્પી હોય છે) શામેલ છે. ટીમનો એક સભ્ય પત્થરોને પછાડવા માટે સ્ટેક પર બોલ ફેંકી દે છે. ત્યારબાદ ટીમ પત્થરોના ઢગલાને ફરીથી સ્થાપિત કરવાનો પ્રયાસ કરે છે જ્યારે વિરોધી ટીમ (હિટર્સ તરીકે ઓળખાય છે) તેમના પર બોલ ફેંકી દે છે. જો બોલ કોઈ વ્યક્તિને સ્પર્શ કરે છે, તો તે આઉટ થઈ જાય છે અને તેની ટીમ તેના વિના ચાલુ રહે છે. આ રમતમાં રમવા માટે બે ટીમો પાડવાની હોય છે અને તેમાં ગમે તેટલા ખેલાડીઓ રાખી શકાય છે.

How to play Lagori/Nargol and details of the players.

At one time a very popular game among children in India. It consists of a ball and a boulder of flat stones (which are stacked on top of each other). A member of the team throws the ball on the stack to hit the stones. The team then tries to re-establish the throats of stones when the opposing team (known as hitters) throws the ball at them. If the ball touches someone, he gets out and his team continues without him. The game requires two teams to play and can accommodate as many players as you like.

Lagori is a game which is a popular game in India. It is called Dappa Kali in the northern parts of Kerala, especially in Kannur. This game requires a considerable amount of physical exercise and is mainly played by boys. This game is played between two teams. It consists of 10 marble pieces piled one above the other. One team targets this pile and once they strike it then their next aim is to keep it back while the other team has to block the opposing side from arranging it back. This is almost same as Seven Stones game.
